On 11th of February 2025 binsec GmbH received an “Invitation to Tender With Emirates Group” from vendor.registration@theemirategroup.com:
Dear Valued Vendor,
Greetings from Emirates Group,
We invite you to register as a vendor with Emirates Group. A leading aviation company in UAE. Our goal is to build a diverse and qualified vendor base to support our business needs. This will open up opportunities to provide goods and services to our projects and developments.
Our projects are open for all companies. And this is a special consideration towards your participation for the ongoing registration
To register, Kindly confirm your interest by requesting for Vendor Questionnaire and EOI.
We look forward to potentially working with you!
Best Regards
Mr. Sameh Bakier

After answering to that e-mail, claiming to be interested, one receive an e-mail with three pdf documents including the Emirates Vendor Assessment Policy for example. Truth told, that documents look good and authentic. The mail also includes a “Vendor Regisgtration Acceptance Form”:

So they request a payment of AED 57.850 (equivalent to 15.000€) to start the vendor process. The domain sending the e-mails is theemirategroup.com, the original domain of The Emirates Group is theemiratesgroup.com. Take a look at the missing “s” in the domain…

Hi
We have also been sent the same scam.
We are a market leading juice company in New Zealand.
They asked us for $68,000 AED deposit for procurement processing, which they claimed was fully refundable after processing.
Pretty slick scammers !!
We are a German startup and have received the same request. The sender is THOMAS CHACKO HAMAD, he even has a Linkedin profile. The email address he used to send the request is: thomas@emiraetesflightcatering.com
We almost missed the extra e in “emirates”. The scam is really professional, the documents look very authentic. But when we were asked to pay a deposit, we also became skeptical…
Just received the same through our website contact form. email address was as follows:
ThomasProcurement-ekfc@proton.me
It was signed off by someone called Thomas Chacko who looks to have a legit LinkedIn profile detailing a career in logistics.
Have not and will not be following up. I cannot see Emirates serving traditional Devon Steak Pasties on their flights any time soon!
We just received this email as well. We are So Sweet Pastries located in Toledo Ohio.
I also received this email. Fortunately, my mail provider indicated it was a red flag. However, I was still very excited and wanted to double-check. In the end, The Emirates Group confirmed that it was scam. Watch out!
His email address is:

Glad I did my research and found this. After the follow up email inning me to received the vendor registration.
